Bottaro Family Picnic. This large group gathered to celebrate the christening of Carmen Bottaro in the 1920's. Tunisian immigrant, Nick Marotta, holding the guitar, was a member of Monterey's "first family" of music. His siblings Vince, Mary, Masrio, Tony and Emma all played instruments and sang. No local baptism, wedding or community celebration was complete without them.
